John D’Anna is a proven leader in the energy sector and President of Horizon Energy. With over a decade of experience spearheading complex engineering and renewable energy initiatives, John is recognized for his exceptional ability to integrate technical expertise with strategic business objectives. His leadership has driven the successful delivery of large-scale projects, cultivated high-performing teams, and advanced innovation across the renewable energy industry.

A licensed Professional Engineer, John has overseen the successful execution of more than 5 GW of renewable energy projects, consistently advancing grid integration, energy storage, and cutting-edge technologies. He is widely respected for his strategic decision-making, operational leadership, and ability to unite stakeholders around a shared vision for sustainable growth.

Most recently, John directed project execution on a national scale, optimizing performance across multiple business units and ensuring the successful delivery of complex solar and storage initiatives. In previous leadership roles, he spearheaded initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency, reduced costs, and accelerated the adoption of renewable energy solutions. Earlier in his career, he built a strong foundation in systems integration, operations, and technical leadership—experience that continues to inform his ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver results.

John holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), as well as both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Florida Atlantic University. This unique combination of business acumen and technical expertise enables him to bridge the gap between strategic leadership and engineering innovation.
